Anna Politkovskaja (1958-2006) è stata una giornalista, scrittrice ed attivista russa. Molto critica nei confronti del regime politico di allora, in particolar modo tramite scritti mise in luce la poco limpida gestione delle tante crisi in Cecenia, il 7 ottobre 2006 venne assassinata nell'ascensore del suo palazzo. Era il giorno del compleanno dell’allora presidente russo Putin.
“Tuba Mirum” rimando al passo gregoriano tratto dal Dies Irae. Per l’autore il frammento musicale del Tuba mirum è diventato un vero e proprio leitmotiv per il Potere usandolo con tale significato in molte delle sue composizioni.

Anna Politkovskaya (1958-2006) was a Russian journalist, writer and activist. Very critical of the political regime of the time, highlighted especially through writings the unclear management of the many crises in Chechnya; on 7 October 2006 she was murdered in the elevator of her building. It was the birthday of the then Russian President Putin.
"Tuba Mirum" refers to the Gregorian passage from Dies Irae. For the author, the fragment of the Tuba mirum has become a real leitmotif for Power, using it with this meaning in many of his compositions.
